Washed a USB Thumbdrive!!

So I took my USB thumbdrive to my daughter's school, because I needed to carry a huge file.

All went well, put the drive in my jacket pocket, and went to COSTCO with the her to grab a hotdog.  So far so good, right?

Then I spilt some lemonade on my jacket!!  OMG, I need to get this clean!!  And so I put it in the washing machine with the other laundry.

An hour later, I realized that I DIDN'T TAKE THE THUMBDRIVE OUT!!

So after giving it a hair dry, I googled to find that uncooked rice absorbs water.

でかいファイルを娘の日本人学校に持っていく必要があったので、ＵＳＢフラッシュドライブに入れていきました。

無事に終わって、上着のポッケに入れましたとさ。そのまま娘とコストコでホットドッグを買いましたが、、、

レモネードを上着にこぼしてしまった！！うぎゃーーー！！というわけでそのまま洗濯機にポイ。

１時間後、ＵＳＢを出していなかったことに気付く！！Σ(ﾟдﾟlll)

がび～ん。とりあえずヘアドライヤーで乾かして、ググったら「米と一緒にいれたらいいよ（・∀・）ｂ」と書いてありました。



そして夜が明けた。ＵＳＢもＨＰとＭＰが回復した！！＼（＞▽＜）／

フラッシュメモリは洗えることが判明しました！！きっと、仲間のＳＳＤも洗えるでしょう。（笑）

And after a night's dehydration, it was working again, nice and clean!

So since these don't have any electrical or mechanical parts, I guess they are washable.  I'll bet you can even wash an SSD.

Godiva Intense Dark Chocolate Truffle

The showcase said "Intense Dark Chocolate Truffle", but I think it's the "Extra Dark Chocolate Truffle"


ゴディバで今月の無料チョコをもらいました。サウスコーストの店舗では「Intense Dark Chocolate Truffle」って書いてあったけれど、たぶん「Extra Dark Chocolate Truffle」のことだと思う。

Christmas tree

The big Christmas tree at the South Coast Plaza is now standing in front of the Westin Hotel.  Didn't know it, but it burned down last year.
