Jog-A-Thon (School Fund Raising)

Our daughter is fund raising at her school's Jog-A-Thon on October 23th!

The technology is amazing, I was able to set up a personalized site with video and all.  :)

This is the only fund raiser the school does, so you won't be offered to buy any chocolate bars later on.  :)

娘が学校の寄付を募っています！

これはもう、募金２．０ですね。動画とかすぐできました！

23日に学校で走るのですが、"per lap"の場合、走った周×金額分が寄付されます。

"flat amount"の場合、金額がそのまま寄付されます。

ＰＴＡが登録団体(Tax ID:  33-0224464)なので、寄付金は所得税控除対象です。

First time participating, so everything's new to us.

It looks like you can either pledge per lap (max 35 laps) or a flat amount.

So if you pledge $1 per lap, and she jogs 30 laps, you would donate $30.

Donations are tax deductible (Tax ID:  33-0224464).

Kerrygold Pure Irish Butter

So my wife read about this book, "The Bulletproof Diet", where this guy literally engineered a diet.  In it, he shares how he drank coffee with grass fed butter in it, and he doesn't feel hungry for five hours!  His choice of butter in the US is Kerrygold, because that's the only one.

嫁様がエンジニアのためのダイエット本（「無欠ダイエット」とでも訳しましょうか？）のことを読んだらしい。その中で、コーヒーにバターを入れて飲むのを紹介しているとのことです。そしてこれは特別なバターで、草しか食べていない牛から摂れたものらしい。アメリカではケリーゴールドというブランドしかないんだって。

でもアマゾンでバター買う（$4.99）気にはなれないので、近くのスーパーで探してみた。

But who buys butter at Amazon ($4.99)?  So I decided to shop around.

At Trader Joe's, they sell the block for $3.19, best deal!!  :)

Unfortunately, they didn't carry the spreadable type.

Trader Joe'sが一番安く、ブロックを$3.19で売っていました！！残念ながら塗るタイプは売っていませんでした。

Sprouts sold the block for $3.49, and the spread for $3.99!

Sproutsではブロックが$3.49、塗るのが$3.99。

Wholesome Choice sold both the block and spread for $3.99.

Wholesome Choiceでは両方$3.99。

Haggen sold the block for $4.49.  Why so expensive, Haggen?

Haggenではブロックが$4.49。高いよ！

I can't believe Mothers Market didn't sell this.

So here it is, in the teapot and teacup.  :)
