Godiva Intense Dark Chocolate Truffle

The showcase said "Intense Dark Chocolate Truffle", but I think it's the "Extra Dark Chocolate Truffle"


ゴディバで今月の無料チョコをもらいました。サウスコーストの店舗では「Intense Dark Chocolate Truffle」って書いてあったけれど、たぶん「Extra Dark Chocolate Truffle」のことだと思う。

Christmas tree

The big Christmas tree at the South Coast Plaza is now standing in front of the Westin Hotel.  Didn't know it, but it burned down last year.

Toyota 2006 Prius milage

With all the corruption in the world, here's the truth!  :)

This is what I get from my 2006 Toyota Prius.  I average a little less than 50 mpg, from over 160,000 miles.

スズキ、お前もか！！Σ(ﾟдﾟlll)

というわけで、トヨタの２００６プリウスの燃費実績です。（笑）

１６万マイル（２５万キロ）走っていますが、平均４９．５ｍｐｇ（リッター２１．０キロ）出ています。



ちなみに、過去ベストは５６．１ｍｐｇ（リッター２３．８キロ）！！

FYI, my personal best is 56.1 mpg!!

The kids were working on this yesterday after they finished a roll of toilet paper.  I'm going to give them an A+ for this full-blown project!!  :)

Looks like COSTCO will stop accepting American Express from June 20.

I wonder when they are going to start accepting VISA?

コストコがアメックスと契約破棄したので、６月２０日から使えなくなるみたいだね。

Monyo graduation

Monyo graduated from her Japanese kindergarten!!  :)

娘が日本人学校を卒園しました！！

Outdoor Ramen

We had Ramen in our yard.  Monyo got it from school!  :)

娘が学校でラーメンをもらってきたので、お庭で食べました！！

Blood donation

Got a letter from the Red Cross, that the minimum iron required to donate blood is increasing.  Starting in May, your hemoglobin level needs to be at least 13.0 g/dL.

赤十字から献血における鉄分の最低値が上がる、と連絡が来ました。５月から、血中ヘモグロビンが13.0 g/dLないと献血できないらしい。

普段から肉とかを食べていると結構いけますが、足りないときは鉄サプリやCream of Wheatでカバーしています。

This is not a problem if I regularly eat meat, but a bowl of Cream of Wheat or iron suppliments helps if I'm deficient.

Happy birthday Monyo!

We did Monyo's birthday party at the Oak Canyon Nature Center.

ネイチャーセンターで娘の誕生日会をしました。



Subwayで１メートル弱のサンドイッチを３つ。

Got three yard long sandwiches at Subway.

In lieu of a cake, we had strawberry croissants from Cream Pan.

You're not allowed to light up candles at the nature center, so we did an LED one.  :)

ケーキの代わりに、クリームパンのイチゴクロワッサン。

火を使うことができないので、ＬＥＤのろうそくです。（笑）
